CNN wanted to create a new type of article format; one that incorporated the branding elements that I was creating for their brand system. Through the creation of a pattern library, these assets became crucial in creating a new article format with live updates as they happen. The launch of this new feature helped solidify the importance of a brand library that was accessible to both designers and developers, in order to produce clean, consumable content. The article pages and interactive menu were designed to show a large amount of information in real-time, while also using UX strategy to optimize the experience.
